- Step 1: If you have not already created your company on Tally, then first create your company to store the file.
- Step 2: Mention the name of the company and mention the other details about the company you want to create on Tally.
- Step 3: Go to Account info. And then to the Ledgers to check whether your company is saved on the application.
- Step 4: Now, there are two ledgers listed by default which are Cash and Profit & Loss A/C.
- Step 5: Go to the TDL file and right-click on the TCP extension to open the properties of the file. Now, copy the path address or location of the file.
- Step 6: Now, paste the path address of the TDL file in this text box.
- Step 7: You can check the ledger files from Account Info-> Ledgers.
- Step 8: Click on the ledger file to open Tally. You will find a list of all the entries on the application.
